Ingredients
|
Butterfly Peacock seeds
|

Seed Selection
|
Choose a good seed and
separate the material from the dirt like gravel or soil
|

1st Soaking
|
Soaked seeds with clean water for about 12 hours. Drained after that
|

|
Boiling
|
Boiled with water 10 cm
above the surface of the seeds for approximately 1 hour
|

|
Seed
Peeling
|
Separate the seed shell
from the seeds, then wash the material with running water
|

|
2nd Soaking
|
Soaked seeds with clean water for about 2 hours
|
7
|
Cleaning
|
Wash the seeds with clean water in the container
|
8
|
Steam
|
Steam the seeds with steamer approximately 2 hours or until the seeds is mature
|
9
|
Draining
|
Drained the seed and placed on clean container
|

|
Inoculation
|
After the seeds are
rather cold, give 2 g / 1 kg yeast (Rhizopus.
sp), mix
thoroughly (hands and containers must be sterile). Wrap in a banana leaf or a
plastic hole.

Incubation
|
The fermentation process usually occurs for 24
hours. Tempe which became characteristic of white, soft texture and typical
flavor of tempe
|
Note: My
student have been done for the project, but test of nutritional content and
toxicity, not yet.
